1. Our Services As an independent insurance broker (an insurance intermediary) we provide advice, arrange and manage your insurance needs.
2. Who Regulates Us? We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Our FCA Register number is 306499. You can check this information on the FCA Register by telephoning 0845 606 1234 or visiting the FCA web site.
3. Whose Products do we offer? Our recommendations are selected from a range of policies offered by a number of insurers. You may ask us for a list of the insurers used by us. In respect of self catering insurances, cover is usually placed with Allianz using our exclusive scheme. For musical instruments cover is usually placed with Allianz Musical Instruments. Uninsured motor loss recovery legal expenses insurance (unless as an integral part of the vehicle insurance) is arranged via a single insurer, DAS Legal Expenses Insurance Company Limited, is optional, and not available in isolation.
4.Information on Costs: All premiums indicated are inclusive of Insurance Premium Tax (IPT), Value Added Tax (VAT), and charges as appropriate. You will usually not have to pay for our services – if we make a charge this will be clearly explained to you. Our earnings are paid to us at the time the premium is passed to the Insurer.

If you require an instalment facility the method of operation and the charges will be explained to you. Most insurers will accept payment by credit or debit card.
5.Your Duty to give Information: It is your responsibility to provide complete and accurate information at all times, including the commencement of an insurance, renewal and claims. If you fail to disclose material information this could mean that part or all of a claim may not be paid. When we are acting for you in relating to insurance 'wholly or mainly for purposes unrelated to your trade, business or profession' we (you, the client, and us, your Insurance Brokers) must proceed in accordance with the Consumer Insurance Act 2013. Any commercial client must continue to disclose all material information, whether a specific question has been asked, or not. There will be occasions when we are concerned with insurances that cover both domestic and business. We will ensure the relevant questions to each aspect of your insurance requirements are made known to you.
6.Confidentiality: All information supplied by you is only used by us in connection with administering your insurances. You have the right to see information we hold about you. Where a credit check - see below - is carried out we do not see the results.
7.Handling Client Money and/or Insurer Money: Most premiums are held on a Risk Transfer basis. We will advise you when premiums are not held on a Risk Transfer basis. Your premiums are held in a Statutory Client Trust Account in accordance with FCA rules at NatWest, 86 Poole Road, Westbourne, Bournemouth, BH4 9EE. Payment of the premiums is deemed to be acceptance that our choice of banking arrangements is acceptable to you. When we act as a sub-broker in the arrangement and management of your insurances, we will pass the premiums to the next broker, who must also follow FCA accounting rules.
8.Complaints: If we fail in the high levels of service we aim to achieve please complain in writing to David J Morris ACII, Chartered Insurance Broker at the address shown on this web page. Details of our formal complaints procedure can be provided. You may also refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
9.Financial Services Compensation Scheme: For the current Financial Services Compensation Scheme levels please refer to refer to www.fscs.org.uk
10.Sums Insured: Where the cover is based on a true sum insured, the responsibility remains with you to select the correct value. For buildings this will include debris removal, professional fees, statutory authority requirements, and the cost of labour and materials as supplied by the builder. For contents this will represent replacing all of the contents as new, at today’s prices. Where there are tax changes, such as VAT, it is your responsibility to advise us of the amended sum insured.
11.Credit Checks: Some insurers, so as to provide you with the most attractive premium, and/or assess your credit rating for premium payment, will carry out a credit check. Unless you indicate to the contrary we will use these credit checks at inception and each renewal.
12.Non Renewal or Cancellation during the currency of a claim: If, during the currency of a claim, you decide not to renew the insurance, or to cancel the insurance, we reserve the right to consider ceasing acting for you in the handling of the claim
13. Document Fees: For all polices incepting or renewing from 1st September 2017 we reserve the right to charge a documentation fee of £10.00 for a printed copy of policy wordings, schedules etc.
